Michael Smith started selling carpets in college. He supplied his fellow students with dorm room carpets that he sold right out of his van. He came back home to Steubenville, OH and set up shop. He successfully built Smitty’s Wholesale Carpets on the idea that excellent craftsmanship, teamwork, reasonable pricing, doing what’s right for the community, and plain old fun will make a business successful...and he was right.   Smitty and all of the folks that work for him and buy from him are still having fun...and the floors in the Valley look a lot better for it!
